Easter Island, Chile. Petroglyphs at Orongo relate to the "cult of the birdman" (Tangata manu) and a ceremony practised for centuries up until 1878.The ceremony involved a competition to find the first egg of the migrant Sooty Tern on the islet of Motu Nui.
