| The Inca capital, Cuzco, Peru. The reconstructed Temple of the Moon stands within the main cloister of the Santo Domingo church and convent. The church, one of the most prominent landmarks of the colonial city stands on the site of the Inca Temple of the Sun. [Coricancha] Much of the colonial building was damaged in an earthquake in 1950 and as the rubble was cleared previously covered Inca stonework was revealed. | |
