Tula, Mexico. Atlante figures on the Temple of Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli. They originally formed columns to support a roof. The figures represent warriors. They have feathered headdresses, on their chests a breastplate in the form of a butterfly,a short skirt with a knotted belt, and in the left hand an atlatl or dart thrower.
