ARGENTINA:   the Upsala glacier is one of the largest glaciers in southern South America. It has an area of approx. 600sq km and is 60km long,  with a width of 4.5km at the front which is 60-120m high. The glacier begins in the southern Patagonian icecap, and empties into Lago Argentina.
