Bolivia.   The cathedral in Sucre, the legal capital of Bolivia, is filled with many colonial period treasures. Perhaps the greatest of these is a colonial painting of the golden Virgin of Guadalupe which is studded with 29,000 pearls and tens of thousands of other gems.
