Bolivia. Plans to colonise the sparsely populated eastern lowlands or Oriente have opened the way for both Bolivian and foreign colonists. Mennonites with a long tradition of intensive farming have developed large farms in the Department of Santa Cruz. They often visit the city of Santa Cruz wearing their distinctive clothes.
