Colombia.   The Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, the highest mountain range in Colombia, stands at the edge of the Caribbean. This view looks over tropical forest to the snowy summit of Pico Cristobal Colón 5800m.   The slope is extremely abrupt and the distance between sea and snow is about 50kms.
