Colombia, southern Andean highlands.    An Afro-Colombian farmer drying sisal from locally grown agave (Agave sisalana).  The plant has large heavy leaves which are crushed and beaten. The fibers are loosened and the other parts of the leaf are washed away with water. The fibres are combed / separated and dried in the sun.
