Ecuador. Illiniza (also Iliniza) is a dormant stratovolcano located about 55km southwest of Quito. It consists of two peaks: Illiniza Sur (5,248 m) - seen in the photo - and Illiniza Norte (5,126m). Sunlight falls on the cultivated fields below.
