Ecuador. The Jivaro (now mostly associated with the Shuar) were probably the most feared and ferocious of all Amazon tribes. They were known for the ancient practice of shrinking human heads (tsantsa)- those of their victimes. This is a replica of a shrunken head made from goatskin.
